Unlock the domain at your current registrar, get its transfer (EPP) code, then order the transfer on Tremhost. Your website and email stay up during the move.
- At your current registrar, switch off domain lock (also called transfer lock).
- Ask for the transfer code (EPP or authorisation code).
- Make sure the domain’s contact email is one you can read: the approval request goes there.
- Order the transfer on Tremhost: Domain transfer. Enter the code at checkout.
- Approve the email from the old registrar if one arrives.
For a .com, a transfer normally adds a year to the registration. The nameservers and DNS stay as they were, so nothing stops working while the transfer completes.
