A backup on the same server is not a backup

What is S3-compatible storage?
Object storage that speaks the same API as Amazon S3. You keep files as objects in buckets, and any tool or application that supports S3-compatible storage can read and write them.

On Tremhost's own storage servers in Johannesburg, New York, Miami, Limburg or Roubaix, or on Amazon S3. An expert recommends the platform and location that suit you.
Do you charge for downloads?
Yes. Storing data is the plan price; downloading data out of your buckets (egress) is charged separately. Ask an expert for the rate that applies to your plan and location.

How do I connect my tools?
