How do I get the padlock (free SSL) on my site?

Free SSL is installed and renewed automatically once your domain points to us. If it is missing, run AutoSSL in cPanel.

1. Check the domain points to Tremhost (see propagation).
2. In cPanel, open Security → SSL/TLS Status.
3. Click Run AutoSSL. It takes a few minutes.
4. If a domain shows an error, it is usually because the domain, or its www version, does not point to us yet.

Send every visitor to https

In cPanel, open Domains → Domains and switch on Force HTTPS Redirect for the domain. In WordPress, also make sure both addresses under Settings → General start with https.
