In cPanel, open Select PHP Version (or MultiPHP Manager), pick the version your application needs and save.
- In cPanel, open Software → Select PHP Version.
- Choose the version from the list and click Set as current.
- On the same page, switch on any PHP extensions your application asks for.
- Reload your site and check it works.
If your cPanel shows MultiPHP Manager instead, tick the domain, choose the version and click Apply.
Tip: Use the newest version your website supports: it is faster and still receives security fixes. If the site breaks after a change, switch back and update your plugins or theme first.
